I come from Sulmona, a beautiful town in the Abruzzi Apennines, in Southern Italy.
I did my undergraduated studies in Physics at the University of Pisa where I got my Bachelors degree with an experimental thesis on Bose Einstein condensates supervised by Prof. E. Arimondo.
Subsequently I completed a Masters degree in the Physics of Matter with a theoretical study of spin glass systems and pattern formation in neural networks under prof. A. Herz at the LMU in Munich.
My interest in experimental work with cold atoms, the theoretical richness of spin ensembles and the different applications of such systems brought me, in January 2011, to join Morgan Mitchell's group in Barcelona to explore a new generation of magnetically sensitive quantum light-atom interface, suitable for high precision metrology and quantum information processing.
