Gianvito Lucivero
I'm from Molfetta(Bari), a nice city in the South-East of Italy on the Adriatic Sea.
After classical studies at the secondary school, I wanted to know if there was something more than the electromagnetic Lenz's law in the Physics world, and indeed there was...I attended my Bachelor studies at the University of Bari where, after reading with astonishment "Entanglement" (one of the few books that I have actually finished) I obtained my Bachelor Degree in Physics with a theoretical thesis on the entanglement and on Bell's inequalities supervised by Prof. Saverio Pascazio.
Then, started to grow in me the willingness to put hands to work and to see concretely in lab what was going on. So I moved to the wonderful city of Rome and, after studies in Matter Physics I joined the Quantum optics group at the "Sapienza" University. There I obtained my Master Degree with a thesis on quantum interferometry with multiphoton states with the supervision of Dott. Fabio Sciarrino.
Then, after one year of adventure and experience in Barcelona (always in the same field of quantum optics), I joined ICFO and the great group of Prof. Morgan Mitchell. Currently I'm working on Optical Magnetometry and Quantum Information with non-classical light like polarization squeezed light.
